“Best bowler in the world”: Michael Clarke lauds huge praises for Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah has begun training in the nets and is gearing for a return in the IPL

India’s ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah is missing international cricket at this moment. The speedster suffered a back stress injury and thus was ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy. However, former Australian captain Michael Clarke has asserted that Bumrah is currently the best bowler in the world across all three formats. He suggested that Bumrah should be managed the right way to help him play a long time.

It is obvious that Bumrah becomes the automatic choice for the Men in Blue for any major tournament. However, Michael Clarke also lauded the Indian bowlers for having played well in the absence of Bumrah. He further added that every team in the world will be stronger when they have Bumrah in it.

Needs to be rested properly

Well, it’s a tough one because you want him playing every game. He’s the best bowler in the world at the moment in all three formats. I think India have done exceptionally well in this Champions Trophy so far without him. But every team in the world will be a stronger with Bumrah in it. So I think conditions have probably played a part,” Michael Clarke told RedSportz.

Up next, the attention shifts to the IPL. The Indian players will be back with their franchise teams after finishing the ICC Champions Trophy. Clarke added that Bumrah will be interested to play for Mumbai Indians. He also claimed that Bumrah needs to be rested for the individual games at the right time so that he doesn’t get fatigued.

Bumrah seems like the type of guy that wants to play in the IPL for his franchise. He wants to play every game he can for India. So I think he’ll need to be managed the right way. And I think you can rest him for individual games at the right time. But yeah, of course, you want the best players playing. So I hope he’s fully fit. I hope he plays a majority of the IPL. And then you definitely want to see him in those Test matches against England,” he concluded.
