Only three cricketers in ODI history have managed to achieve the unique double of 6000 runs and 300 wickets. The following is the list of All Rounders Scoring 6000 runs and claiming 300 wickets in 50-over-cricket.
The first cricketer to achieve this feat was former Sri Lankan skipper Sanath Jayasuriya.He is the first and the only Sri Lankan to score 6000 runs with the bat and bag 300 wickets. He achieved this feat in an ODI against Bangladesh in 2007. Jayasuriya took 397 matches to achieve the milestone.
Sanath Jayasuriya is followed by former Pakistan Captain Shahid Afridi. He joined the club in 2011 in an ODI against Sri Lanka. He is the third in the list of leading wicket takers for Pakistan in ODIs.
Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan became the third man to achieve this feat. The record came against England in Chattogram in 2023. He also is the leading wicket taker for Bangladesh in ODIs.
