The Caribbean Premier League is all set for an action-packed Sunday as two matches feature mighty Guyana Amazon Warriors against lowly St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, while winless Jamaica Tallawahs seek their revival in the tie with Barbados Tridents.
In the first match of the day, slated for 5:30 am India time, star-studded Guyana start fancied in quest of their fourth win in as many games. The presence of Shimron Hetmyer, Imran Tahir, Keemo Paul, Nicholas Pooran, Shoaib Malik and Shadab Khan lends a strong balance to the side that like the Knight Riders have kept their slate clean in CPL 2019. Rivals St Kitts and Nevis, who have only one win to their credit from four games, will be relying heavily on Carlos Braithwaite and Pakistani veteran Mohd Hafeez.
The second match of the day, starting at 10:30 pm India time, will be a struggle for Jamaica Tallawahs to keep their last hope afloat. A fifth consecutive defeat will effectively slam the door for the team that is yet to score a point after four matches. There is little strength in the line-up, except Christ Gayle and Andre Russel. Rivals Barbados, relying heavily on JP Duminy, Jason Holder, Shai Hope and Wahab Riaz, have one and lost a match each from two outings.
The excitement will unfold for Indian fans from 5.30 am. Catch all the action LIVE on Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 HD from 3:30 am India time. The action will also be simulcast on Hotstar VIP.
