They are the cynosure of all eyes when they are on the sports field but now they have become real life heroes as well. The sporting champions of India are second to none when it comes to standing by the country in its most difficult phase. Meet few of the top Indian sporting stars who are donating all around to help people in need.
1.Rohit Sharma,cricket (Rs 80 lakh)  

 The Indian opener made an all-round donation of Rs 80 lakhs – Rs 45 lakhs to PM-CARES,  Rs 25 lakhs to Maharashtra CM’s relief fund, Rs 5 lakhs to Feeding India and Rs 5 lakhs for the welfare of street dogs.

2.Suresh Raina ,cricket  (Rs 52 lakh) 

India cricketer Suresh Raina has stepped up in the times of need and announced that he would be donating Rs 52 lakh to combat novel coronavirus which has claimed almost 20 lives in India is affected closed to 900 people.

3. Sachin Tendulkar, cricket (Rs 50 lakh)
Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar  donated Rs 50 lakh to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, which has so far claimed 17 Indian lives and wreaked havoc globally.

4. Sourav Ganguly, cricket (Free rice worth Rs 50 lakh)
BCCI president Sourav Ganguly  extended a helping hand to ISKCON’s Kolkata centre, enabling them to feed 20,000 people, affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, every day.


5.Gautam Gambhir, cricket  (Rs 50 lakh, 2-years salary. He later pledged to donate two years’ salary)
Cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir pledges Rs 50 lakh for COVID-19 treatment equipment and also decided to contribute his two years’ salary as an MP to the Prime Minister-CARES fund to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping through the country.
6. Yuvraj Singh ,cricket (Rs 50 lakh )
Yuvraj Singh has offered financial support as India continues to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic that has taken lives of over 70 people in the country and has infected more than 3,000
7.PV Sindhu, badminton (Rs 10 lakh)
World champion shuttler P V Sindhu  donated Rs 5 lakh each to the Chief Minister’s Relief Funds of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to fight the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic, which has claimed over 21,000 lives globally.8. Ajinkya Rahane, cricket (Rs 10 lakh)
Ajinkya Rahane has donated Rs 10 lakh to the Maharastra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

9. Mithali Raj (Rs 10 lakh)
The Womens team ODI captain Mithali Raj has pledged to donate Rs 10 lakh towards the fight against coronavirus. Mithali has decided to give Rs 5 lakh to the Prime Ministers Fund and 5 lakh to the Chief Ministers Assistance Fund of the Telangana government.

10. Sania Mirza to provide food for daily wage workers
Tennis star Sania Mirza has also stepped forward to raise money to provide food and other basic necessities for the daily wage workers during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
11. Harbhajan Singh, wife Geeta to feed 5000 families in Jalandhar
Ace India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has pledged to feed 5000 under-privileged families in his native Jalandhar, who are suffering due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has infected over a million people globally and wreaked havoc on the economy.  
12.Bajrang Punia, wrestling (Six month’s salary to Haryana)
Star wrestler Bajrang Punia has donated his six months salary towards the fight against coronavirus pandemic which has claimed nine lives so far in India.
