Copa America 2021 PER vs COL: Luis Diaz’s stoppage-time goal helps Colombia beat Peru 3-2, secure 3rd Place in Copa- Luis Diaz struck in the dying seconds of the match to hand Colombia a 3-2 victory over Peru in the 3rd Place Playoff match in the Copa America 2021. Brazil will face Argentina in the final on Sunday.
Earlier, Yoshimar Yotun put Peru in the lead just before half-time but a strong comeback from Colombia followed in the 2nd half. Juan Cuadrado equalised in the 49th minute before Luis Diaz made it 2-1 in the 66th minute. But Gianluca Lapadula equalised in the 82nd minute. When it seemed the match was going to the penalties, Luis Diaz struck again to shatter Peru’s hopes of finishing 3rd in the tournament.
Copa America 2021 PER vs COL: Copa America is a men’s football tournament contested among national teams from CONMEBOL (South American Football Confederation). They are Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela.
