He will take on ‘Joker’ Jerry Perrin, who has lost all three of his professional MMA outings. Thus, Raul Rosas Jr. is confident about his chances. When asked about his opponent in the UFC 282 presser, the UFC debutant said that his upcoming opponent will be a better Santa Claus than a fighter.

Conor McGregor took note of it and mentioned the 18-year-old in his latest tweet. Here’s a look at it.

Conor McGregor wrote, “That’s incredible! The youngest ever. Good luck young man, in your career with the UFC.”

UFC 282 will be the last Pay-per-view event of the year and the card has already seen some major fallouts. With Jiri Prochazka vacating his light heavyweight strap, Glover Teixeira has also walked out of the event and now there’s a new main event in Jan Blachowicz vs Magomed Ankalaev for the vacant belt.

An intriguing matchup between Robbie Lawler and Santiago Ponzinibbio has also been ruled out due to Lawler’s in-camp injury. With so many starfighters walking out, the young prodigies can steal the spotlight.

Raul Rosas Jr. clearly falls on that list as fans expect an entertaining debut from ‘El Nino Problema’ at UFC 282. Conor McGregor has also conveyed his support for Rosas Jr, sending several fans into a frenzy.

Post-UFC 282: When can Conor McGregor return?

Conor McGregor sent shockwaves through the entire MMA community when he first appeared in the UFC. ‘Notorious’ knocked out most of his opponents on way to becoming the first double champion of the promotion in 2016.

However, his glorious run hasn’t been impressive since then. After knocking out Eddie Alvarez, Conor McGregor made his boxing debut in 2017 and took on the unbeaten Floyd Mayweather. The PPV blockbuster ended with Mayweather knocking out Conor McGregor in round 10.

With a hefty payday earned, McGregor returned to the UFC in 2018, only to get submitted by Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. Nevertheless, his current net worth stands at a whopping $200 million, which is still the highest amount earned by any UFC fighter.

Following the loss against Nurmagomedov, McGregor hung up his MMA gloves for a brief period. He made another comeback in January 2020 against Donald Cerrone and score a sensational first-round KO. Meanwhile, that is his last victory in the UFC till now. Conor McGregor has lost twice against ‘Diamond’ Poirier since then at UFC 257 and UFC 264.

He suffered an ankle injury in his last fight against Poirier. Although McGregor seems to have recovered from it, he is yet to announce his next fight officially. On his upcoming journey, McGregor can either stay at 155 lbs or may move up to the 170 lbs division.
