Christian Atsu Turkey EarthQuake: Christian Atsu ALIVE – In a major relief, Christian Atsu has been found Alive. The former Newcastle United and Chelsea player was rescued by search operations. Though he has been found alive under the rubble the player has been reportedly injured. Atsu, who plays for Hatayspor, was reported missing in Turkey’s Hatay province following the 7.8 magnitude quake that brought down thousands of buildings, killing some 5,000 people, in several Turkish and Syrian cities on Monday. Fears are growing for Chelsea and Newcastle midfielder, who is believed to be trapped under rumble after two massive earthquakes in the country, that has left over 3000 thousand people dead already.
The rescue operations are on, and they are desperately trying to find the Ghana star. The 31-year-old, Atsu plays for Hatayspor, whom he joined last summer. It is reported that Atsu, was on the ninth floor of the apartment, along with his wife Marie-Claire and three kids.
The Guardian had earlier reported that Atsu has been found and is being treated for injuries on his right foot. A Turkish journalist however, falsified the claims and said that Atsu is still under the rumble.
Atsu played for big clubs like Newcastle United and Chelsea. Both the clubs posted tweets, praying for some positive news from Turkey.

It is reported that the earthquake hit hard in Kahramanmaras, the place where Atsu lives. Also, two more players and members of the technical staff have been pulled out of the rumble.
Turkey was hit with an earthquake on 7.8 magnitude on Monday. A couple of hours later, another earthquake of 7.5 magnitude left the country reeling, and taking several innocent lives with it.
Atsu was selected to play for Ghana in 2019, and hasn’t announced his retirement from international football yet.
