According to the EFL’s official website “Carabao Cup Semi Finals are due to take place weeks commencing 3 and 10 January, with the Final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 27 February 2022.”
Chelsea 2-0 Brentford: Chelsea beat fellow Premier League outfit Brentford 2-0 with the help of late goals from Jansson (own goal) and Jorginho (penalty). Thomas Tuchel decided to make changes and played a much-rotated Chelsea side, which featured several academy players with debuts for the likes of Harvey Vale and Jude Soonsup-Bell.

Tottenham 2-1 West Ham: In the night’s other London derby at last years’ beaten finalists advanced to the semi-finals after beating West Ham 2-1 with the help of goals from Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura. Despite having played a tough game on Sunday only, Antonio Conte still named a pretty strong starting 11 including the likes of Harry Kane, Eric Dier and Hugo Lloris.
Liverpool 3-3 Leicester City (Liverpool advance on pens): Despite conceding two early goals, Jurgen Klopp’s men showed tremendous spirit and determination to fight back to 3-3. In the absence of first choice keeper Alisson, Kellher stepped up and turned out to be a true hero for the Reds as he saved two penalties.
