The UWW women wrestling world cup is less than week away. The best vs the best of the women wrestling will compete for the world cup title in Narita, Japan from this Saturday. The question on everyone’s lips is – can the rest of the world stop formidable Japanese women wrestlers from winning the another world cup ?
Japan – The dominating force @ the Women World Cup
The last 4 world cups have all been won by the women team of Japan. The world body of wrestling started the women world cup from 2001. Till date 17 editions of the world cup have been played and out of it, Japanese women team has won 10 world cup titles. China has won 6 women world cup trophies and American women was the last team outside Asia to win the world cup in 2003.
The domination of Japan team is growing over the years. Out of the last 6 world cups, Japan team has won 5 world cup trophies and they were runners up in one of those. The last team to defeat Japan was China who won the 2013 world cup trophy pushing Japan to number 2.
Can Rest of the world stop Japan this time from winning the world cup ?
