Sports LIVE – Bumper Weekend for Sports Fans: Sports fans across the globe are looking forward to perhaps an eventful weekend with the champions of UEFA Euro 2020 and the Wimbledon 2021 headlining what could be the best weekend of sport ever. As many as five major sporting events will take place over the course of 48 hours, including the Copa America 2021 final, the England vs Pakistan ODI series and the action-packed McGregor vs Poirier trilogy fight.

Bumper next 48 hours for sports fans, EURO 2020, Copa America, Wimbledon winners to be crowned this week

Sports LIVE – Bumper Weekend for Sports Fans: Two of the world’s biggest continental football tournaments will crown their winners as the finals of the Euro 2020 and the Copa America 2021 will take this weekend. The former will see England take on Italy at the iconic Wembley, while Lionel Messi led Argentina will take on Neymar’s Brazil in the latter. Meanwhile, a COVID-19 stricken England team led by Ben Stokes will take on Pakistan in the second ODI of their limited-overs series.

Bumper Weekend for Sports Fans: On the other end, Novak Djokovic will aim to equal fellow legends Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in the Wimbledon 2021. The premier Grand Slam tournament was cancelled last year amid the pandemic, but resumed this year, potentially giving Djokovic the chance to clinch No.20. on the Octagon front, Conor McGregor perhaps has his UFC career at stake as he takes on Dustin Poirier in the trilogy fight having suffered a humiliating defeat in January earlier this year.

Sports LIVE:  England vs Italy Euro 2020 final

For all of England’s history, the Three Lions have never won the European Championships and their last major international dates back to the 1966 World Cup at home. Harry Kane and Co. have the opportunity to repeat that when they take on Italy at Wembley this weekend. The Azzuri themselves are battling for lost honour and Roberto Mancini will hope to end the country’s wait for a European Championship, having last won the competition in 1968.

Lionel Messi’s wait for a major international title could finally end this weekend as Argentina take on Brazil in the Copa America 2021 final. It’s almost two decades since Argentina last won the continental title and Messi and Co. will hope to put that record straight against hosts and defending champions Brazil, who will start as favourites.

While it is yet undecided who competes against whom in the Wimbledon 2021, but it seems like the title already has Novak Djokovic’s name inscribed on it. The Serbian won the title in 2019 when it ran parallel with the World Cup final, and the World No.1 will hope to retain it during yet another sporting bonanza weekend. A win would see him reach 20 Grand Slam titles, equalling Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal for the most tiles in men’s singles history.

Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier will renew their rivalry for a third time this weekend in the Octagon as they gear up for a trilogy fight. Poirier had claimed a shock but convincing win when the stars met in Dubai earlier this year, and McGregor will hope to bounce back this weekend. With the series tied at 1-1, the duo will aim to set the record straight in Las Vegas.

Ben Stokes had a perfect start on his captaincy debut as the reigning World champions clinched a convincing win over Pakistan.
