Australian Open LIVE Results: World No.1 Ash Barty enters FINAL- Ash Barty has sailed into the Australian Open finals. She defeated USA’s Madison Keys in straight sets in just over an hour. The win sets Ash Barty for a maiden Australian Open title, She can become the first Australian to win the title after 1978 and end the decades-long drought. She won the match 6-1, 6-3 in an hour & 2 minutes at Rod Laver Arena.
She won the opening set in a one-sided manner but Madison Keys tried to give her A-game in the second set but couldn’t outlast the World No.1 brilliant serves. World No.27 Danielle Collins put on a dominant display on Thursday as she bagged her first-ever Grand Slam finals appearance at the ongoing Australian Open 2022. Collins was up against 2020 French Open champion Iga Swiatek but put a stellar performance to clinch a 6-4, 6-1 win over the World No.1. Collins will now face off against World No.1 and home favourite Ashleigh Barty on Saturday.
