AUS vs NZ 4th T20: The Australian captain, Aaron Finch became the highest ever run scorer for Australia in T20 international matches in the 4th T20I match of the ongoing T20 series against New Zealand. He will lead the SRH captain David Warner in the list of highest run scorer in T20I for Australia after he notched up his second consequent Half-Century against the Kiwi’s in all the important match of the series as the Australians look to square off the series after being 1-2 behind Kiwi’s. In the 70 matches of his T20I career, he has amassed 2310 runs and the skipper promises to score many more runs for his country.

Earlier, Aaron Finch was struggling to find some form under his belt. In the 3 match series against India earlier in the month of January, Finch scored only 35 runs in the 2 matches he played. Also, in the ongoing series against New Zealand, in the first 2 matches he was stumbling to get runs, scored only 1 and 12, and was itchy on the crease.

The social media took Aaron Finch’s wife with some disgraceful and appalling comments owing to his horrible form. But the Aussie All-Rounder, Glen Maxwell came to his skipper’s support.

Before the play of 3rd T20I, the Australian selector, George Bailey, came in support of Aaron Finch quoting “Finch has done consistently well for Australia over the years and will continue to do so in the future as well. He would be surely in the Top 5 or 10 leading run scorers”. And Aaron Finch resolutely, crushed all his ill-speakers with his scintillating match-winning of 69 runs and announced his form back and did justice to his selectors and management’s faith in him.

Back to Back Fifties for Finch

After winning the toss, Australia had a horrible start after losing couple of quick wickets early into their innings. Maxwell too departed after striking few lusty blows and the Australian innings was heading towards a disaster. But the Aussie captain, once again came to the rescue and held the fortress from one end and powered the Aussie innings to a fighting total. Finch remained not out at the score of 79 runs. With this he leaped to the first position for scoring the highest number of runs in T20I for Australia, leaving behind David Warner and Glen Maxwell.
