Assassin’s Creed Infinity: Ubisoft’s flagship series Assassin’s Creed has always been a fan favorite. The open world action-adventure stealth video game series consist of 13 games till date, with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla being the latest. Ubisoft has officially confirmed that the new Assassin’s Creed Infinity is under development, which will be a detailed online service-based game. The series has gone through a lot of improvements and changes, since the Assassin’s Creed first launched in 2007. This time around Ubisoft is planning to make a change bigger than ever in the Assassin’s Creed Infinity.
This would mark a huge change in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Ubisoft officials also conveyed the message to Bloomberg that they want to exceed the expectations of fans who are asking for a more cohesive approach. The managing directors of Ubisoft, Christophe Derenne and Nathalie Bouchard stated the new project as “an important upcoming, early in development project codenamed as Assassin’s Creed Infinity”. As per Bloomberg, it will be an online platform that will consist of many historical settings and will evolve over time.
As per Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, “The Assassin’s Creed Infinity project seeks to emulate the prolonged financial success of GTA V or Fortnite” This approach by Ubisoft could bring a huge success to the upcoming Assassin’s Creed title. A similar approach taken by GTA: Online and Fortnite has gained a huge player base by updating and changing the worlds over time. Ubisoft is aiming to put forth Assassin Creed Infinity in 2024 or later as the game is only at its initial stages. So fans are not expecting to see the game anytime soon, but the Assassin’s Creed community is totally hyped by the news. It will be interesting to see how the upcoming Assassin Creed keep up with other action-adventure games like Tomb Raider, Last of Us and many more
