Twitch streamer Asmongold, popular for streaming World of Warcraft, shared his views on massively multiplayer online games comparing World of Warcraft (WOW) with Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV). He elaborated how FFXIV has gotten ahead of WOW in the MMO genre by providing an unparalleled social experience within the game. The streamer had gained a cult following on Twitch by streaming WOW since 2013. Later in 2021, he also started streaming FFXIV to legion of viewers, soaring the popularity of the game.
In many of his previous streams, he could be found praising FFXIV and elaborating on the innovative aspect of the game.

In a recent stream, Asmongold disclosed his opinions regarding the two MMO games and the experience that FFXIV provides which eventually led to FFXIV gaining an edge over WOW. He also referred to FFXIV as the “leader” of the MMO genre.
“I think an MMO, the only thing the game really f**kin’ needs is for people to feel good about logging on. The fact that people can have a social experience with logging on, FFXIV is the leader in MMOs,” he said.
Asmongold continued, “WoW does a lot of things better than Final Fantasy, but shared space, experience, and social environment… FFXIV is so f**king far and above WoW.” Later in the stream, he continued to praise the Square Enix MMO. “Final Fantasy has innovation in terms of player spaces, housing, and social environments. I think it has genuine innovation that is meaningful. There is nothing that even comes close and I think that’s why Final Fantasy is so successful with casual players..,” he said.

The streamer seemed to be quite impressed with what Square Enix has done with FFXIV. Moreover, fans are enjoying their favorite streamer play FFXIV, agreeing with what he had to say about the game.
