Starsports relives past moment
With just three days to go for the tournament, Starsports launched a new video that had the glimpse of past and present stars. They captioned the video with, “The- for the ultimate begins in just 3 days! Starsports to broadcast 13 matches
The esteemed tournament is scheduled to begin on the 27th of August. The tournament was initially scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka, however, the political unrest in the island nation led to the tournament being shifted to United Arab Emirates (UAE). But, the hosting rights still remain with Sri Lanka.
India who is the defending champions of the tournament after having won in 2018 will be raring to go and win this tournament again. Till now the five permanent members of the Asian contingent are set while the remaining sixth team will be decided by the Qualifiers.

Asia Cup 2022 Groups and Format
India and Pakistan are placed in Group A along with the undecided sixth team. Group B consists of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
Two matches per side are played, with each team playing the other teams in their group once. The top two teams from each group then advance to the Super Four stage, when all teams play one round-robin match against one another.
The final will pit the top two teams from the Super Four stage against one another to become the 2022 Asia Cup winner.
